Mother's Day Weekend
Mother's day was hard for me. My grandmother had a stroke on Friday. She is 88 and never been in the hospital my whole life. She was home alone when she had it and a friend from her church was unable to get her by phone so she drove over and found her on the floor. They got her to St. Al's and did surgery right away. She is still in the hospital, but we are so lucky that she will be fine. Her life will now change a bit, but she is still with us.I have had family and friends pass, but I am not ready for this one.I love my grammy. When I was a kid, I traveled with her everywhere. We did allot of things together and even now when I am with her I feel like that kid again. It is so hard to be here when things like this happen. I talk to her two times a day and we hope she will be home by the end of the week.I am sure the angels that saved her will continue to watch over her.
On a happy note, the boys took me to "Moose's Tooth" for pizza and we went looking for the salmon in the creek. None yet, but I know they are coming!!!
Summer is here! I have jumped way past spring and decided that summer is here. It has been in the high 60's and it is way to HOT! I am sure we will complain more as the weather gets warmer. We are lucky that it SHOULD not get over mid-80's here.I am not sure we could handle it without air conditioning.I REALLY want to get my bike out and I think the day will be this Friday.Dad will be here tomorrow and he can help get it out of the box and started. Those long rides into the mountains are going to be amazing.Riding along the ocean and smelling the salt water.Watching for the whales and the other wildlife.Long evening rides in the 24 hours of daylight. What did I do in Boise again? It will be great.I hope to have beautiful photo's for you.
I hope you all had a wonderful mother's day! My Dad comes tomorrow and life as we know it will change. I wonder who will get grounded first...him or me?
Love to you all!
